Qian Jiang came to Sweden in 2011 and was immediately taken with Scandinavian design and craftsmanship. He particularly noticed the traditional carpenters’ benches that are used in Sweden. The benches have wooden screws which are used to tighten and loosen the grip on a piece of wood being sawn, chiselled or drilled. This was the inspiration for Skruvad, a coat stand that gives the wooden screws a fresh purpose. Things can be hung from either side and it can be assembled without any tools. Skruvad is made of solid beech and is available in black or white. It has four adjustable wooden screws and comes in a flatpack to make it easy to transport.

The Tamburin range came out of Andreas Klippinge’s desire to design something ‘super-functional’.
